Her love of running presses has brought her through several fine letterpress shops who have nurtured her love of design and all things old and papery. Her designs have been featured in Real Simple Magazine, Stationery Trends and on blogs such as Thistle and Plum and Creature Comforts. She lives and works in Somerville, Massachusetts. 20 Questions with Kristen Ley from Thimble Press

Screen Shot 2018-04-14 at 10.11.13 AMIn 2011, curiosity got the best of Kristen and she purchased a 1925 Chandler + Price Platen Letterpress from Lexington, KY and hauled it all the way back to Mississippi on a tiny trailer with just one other person as her letterpress-moving sidekick. With the press acquired she decided to open up Thimblepress. Not only is Thimblepress a letterpress studio, it is an art studio, sewing studio, design studio, woodworking studio, and basically anything creative that Kristen wants to try her hand at next. Erika Firm is a graphic designer, artist, and all around creative based in Charleston, South Carolina. She has been a stationery with an “e” lover since elementary school, and has been designing paper goods for more than a decade under various brand names, including Delphine, the company she founded in 2003. She loves the color green the best.
